Greetings from Springborn Staffing!  We've been very busy with Temp and Direct Hire job orders, recruiting and placements—we hope your office is bustling as well! We greet you this month with some exciting news about additions to our team and new professional certifications that will help us add value to our relationship with you, our client partners. As always, our priority is sourcing, screening, and presenting you with the top talent in the state of Maine, and providing you Solutions That Work! Springborn Staffing Acquires Accomplished Professionals:
We hope that by now you have heard our most exciting recent news— that Springborn has acquired another outstanding local agency, Accomplished Professionals. The acquisition brings together two of the area's best known local and independent staffing firms. Each agency has a history of providing high quality, best in class staffing solutions for its staffing partners and associate employees. 
 
By combining these two agencies, Springborn will be able to provide a greater breadth of service to the Northern New England Region. We will still be providing temp, temp to hire, and permanent placement solutions. Our focus areas will continue to be: Professional (including Legal; Accounting/Finance/Insurance; Banking; Call Centers; etc.); Office/Clerical and Light Industrial. Added to the mix will now be an IT Division, headed up by Mark Maurer, who has been an IT recruiter for 10+ years.

Additional staff who have joined our team at 107 Exchange St. include Deborah Jabine, one of Portland's most accomplished recruiters, with over 17 years' experience and expertise in Professional, Accounting and Office Staffing; Jayne Conley, a staffing superstar with 10 years' experience, and Bridget Chase, our new Administrative Assistant/Payroll expert.

Springborn's Staff Members Obtain Professional Certification Designations:
We are pleased to report that 2 of our Team members have recently studied for and passed National certification exams.
 
Laura Thibodeau, Springborn's Owner and President, has earned her PHR (Professional in Human Resources) designation from the HR Certification Institute, the organization responsible for setting and evaluating Human Resources standards for U.S. Businesses. The certification process requires a compprehensive knowledge of HR development, compensation and benefits, health and safety issues, labor relations and hiring and firing processes as well as strategic planning.
 
Carolyn Hart, our Senior Staffing Manager, has recently earned her designation as a Certified Temporary-Staffing Specialist (CTS) from the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS). This certification trains a recruiter to be knowledgeable about the laws affecting the temporary staffing industry, addresses legal information relevant to practice of temporary staffing industry firms and also addresses the professional and ethical standards vital to success in this field.
 
Our new colleague, Deb Jabine, already holds her CPC (Certified Personnel Consultant) certification from NAPS. We hope you will draw on our professional and on-the-job expertise for your HR, recruiting and staffing needs!
